FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK AVERAGE DAILY ATTENDANCE (ADA): School attendance is a very important part of the student’s school record. There is a high correlation between attendance and personal reliability. Regular and punctual attendance by all students is necessary for the proper functioning of the entire school. Illness Reminders 2020

Norton Community Schools would like to remind parents and guardians of our illness guidelines. Students may return to school after the following criteria is met: *Vomiting -generally 24 hours since the last vomiting episode. It is helpful if your student can eat a meal at home to help determine further nausea/vomiting. *Diarrhea– (consisting of 3 or more watery stools) generally 24 hours since the last episode *Fever– at least 100 degrees or higher. Gloves and hats in cold weather are important for students before and after school, along with going out to recess. A person loses almost half their body heat through their head.
