Norton Junior High School is a two-year school for students in grades 7 and 8. The efforts of nine full-time classroom teachers are complemented by professionals in counseling and special education.
Students are required to take a core curriculum in mathematics, English, science, social studies, computer integrated learning skills, technology explorations, and physical education. Electives are offered in home economics, art, industrial arts, band and vocal music.
Students and teachers have access to a technologically advanced media center providing audio and visual aids, educational television, online research opportunities and 16,000 volumes of education, recreational and reference books.
Leadership opportunities exist in STUCO, KAYS, pep club, computer technology, music, and athletics.
