Shortened Quarantine Guidelines

Norton County has partially adopted the CDC’s shortened quarantine guidelines. In the past, any close contacts were quarantined for 14 days from last contact. We have adopted the shortened 10 day quarantine instead of the previous 14. Households will only be 10 days after the case is released from isolation compared to previously 14 days. Illness Reminders 2020

Norton Community Schools would like to remind parents and guardians of our illness guidelines. Students may return to school after the following criteria is met: *Vomiting -generally 24 hours since the last vomiting episode. It is helpful if your student can eat a meal at home to help determine further nausea/vomiting. *Diarrhea– (consisting of 3 or more watery stools) generally 24 hours since the last episode *Fever– at least 100 degrees or higher.
