FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK

THANK YOU!!!!!!!  As much success as the school has, it is extremely important to recognize the parents and the important role they play in this process.  Students come to school well rested and encouraged to do their best by their parents and that is a huge motivator for the students.

FUN FACTS ABOUT THANKSGIVING:
  • There were no mashed potatoes, popcorn, pumpkin pie, cranberries, milk, or corn on the cob on the original Thanksgiving table.
  • What was on that first table was lobster, rabbit, chicken, fish, squash, beans, chestnuts, hickory nuts, onions, leeks, dried fruit, maple syrup, honey, radishes, carrots, cabbage, eggs, and goat cheese.
  • Forks were not used-just spoons, knives, and fingers.  Break out the finger foods this year to help celebrate the original Thanksgiving.
  • Ben Franklin wanted the turkey to be the National bird.
  • A 15 pound turkey is about 70 % white meat and 30% dark meat.
  • The 5 most popular ways to eat leftover turkey is as a sandwich, in chili/stew, as soup, in casseroles and as a burger.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING:

HAVE  A GREAT BREAK AND BE SAFE!
